Wall box tester and measuring adapter for quick functional and safety testing of single-phase and three-phase EV charging stations

The BENNING EV 3-1 is intended for quick and easy functional testing of EV charging stations (11 kW + 22 kW wallboxes) with charging socket and permanently connected charging cable. Moreover, in combination with a suitable installation tester, it allows proving the effectiveness of protective measures in compliance with applicable standards.

Application
The BENNING EV 3-1 wallbox tester and measuring adapter is intended for independently testing the most important functions of AC charging stations and wallboxes with Type 2 connectors. Due to the easy operation, electrotechnically trained personnel can detect errors within seconds. Used in combination with the BENNING IT 130, it also enables the safety and functional testing of charging stations for electric vehicles in compliance with IEC 60364-6 and EN 50110.

Application:

The BENNING EV 3-1 wallbox tester and measuring adapter independently tests the most important functions of AC charging stations and wallboxes with type 2 connectors. Thanks to its ease of use, faults can also be detected within seconds by electrically trained persons (EuPs). Together with the BENNING IT 200 or BENNING IT 130, it also enables the safety and functional testing of charging stations for electric vehicles in accordance with DIN VDE 0100-600 (IEC 60364-6) and DIN VDE 0105-100 (EN 50110). 

Note on the installation tester:

In addition to the BENNING EV 3-1 measuring adapter, you will also need the BENNING IT 200 (044106) or BENNING IT 130 (044103) installation tester to test wallboxes.
We recommend the BENNING IT 200 for new purchases, as it has both an extended tripping time measurement and Auto Sequences® especially for testing wallboxes. The prescribed visual inspection can also be stored and documented directly on the BENNING IT 200. The BENNING IT 130 supports the testing of EV RCDs with measurement of the tripping current (RCD I, 6 mA DC ramp) and the testing of the tripping time (RCDt) with 6 mA DC of residual direct current monitoring devices.
